Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026  ·  Applies to: jobautopsy.com
Current status

Job Autopsy is in the process of onboarding affiliate partnerships. Until programmes are approved and active, any outbound links to educational platforms or career tools on this site are regular editorial references and do not generate commissions. The terms on this page describe how we will operate once affiliate relationships are in place.

This Affiliate Disclosure explains how Job Autopsy uses affiliate links, which relationships we participate in, and what that means for you. We believe in being transparent about how we operate.

What Affiliate Links Are

Affiliate links are tracked URLs that connect this site to third-party platforms. When you click one and make a qualifying purchase on the partner's site, Job Autopsy may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you click an affiliate link or navigate there directly — the commission comes from the partner's marketing budget, not from you.

Who We Partner With

We participate in affiliate programmes with reputable educational platforms, professional certification providers, online learning services, and career development tools. These are resources we consider genuinely relevant to the roles and sectors we cover — not every platform, and not every product.

Our partnerships are typically managed through established affiliate networks such as Impact. Our list of active partners evolves as programmes open and close, and as we identify new resources worth recommending. This page reflects our general approach rather than a live list of every programme.

How Commissions Work

When you click an affiliate link on Job Autopsy, the partner's platform sets a tracking cookie on your device. This cookie typically lasts between 7 and 30 days, depending on the partner. If you make a qualifying purchase within that window, the partner credits the referral to Job Autopsy and pays us a small commission.

Commission rates vary by programme and product — typically a percentage of the sale or a modest flat fee. We do not receive any personal information about you or your purchase. The partner's platform only reports aggregated referral data to us.

Editorial Independence

Our recommendations are not for sale. We choose what to link to based on relevance to the role or sector being discussed — not on commission rates, payout size, or programme terms. If we think a free resource serves our readers better than a paid one, we will say so. If we do not link to a particular product, it usually means we do not have an affiliate relationship with that provider, or we do not consider the product a good fit for the role.

Affiliate income helps us keep Job Autopsy free to read. It does not buy placement.

How to Identify Affiliate Links

Affiliate links on this site appear primarily in the "How to get started" card on role pages, grouped by skill level — Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced — and accompanied by a short disclosure noting the links are affiliate. Every affiliate link opens in a new browser tab and is tagged with standard HTML attributes that search engines and browsers use to identify paid relationships.

If a link is not in the "How to get started" card and not accompanied by a disclosure, it is a regular editorial reference — not a paid placement.

Your Choices

You are never required to click affiliate links to use Job Autopsy. All core content — role guides, day-in-the-life simulations, salary data, AI risk ratings, and career progression timelines — is free to read whether or not you click any affiliate link. If you prefer not to contribute affiliate revenue, simply do not click the links in the "How to get started" card.

You can also reject third-party affiliate tracking cookies through your browser settings at any time. Our Cookie Policy has full details on how affiliate tracking cookies work and how to control them.

Changes to This Page

We may update this Affiliate Disclosure as we add or remove affiliate partnerships, or as regulations and industry best practice evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
